PROPOSE LOGICALLY AND WITH SENSE!

WITH reference to the statement by Sabah DAP Labuan Chief, Lau Seng Kiat accusing Tun Mahathir for cheating Labuan people is really baseless and unrespect to our Ex Prime Minister of Malaysia who had make the world know about Malaysia and consider Tun Mahathir is the ‘Bapa Pembangunan Malaysia’.

My name is Erik Seah and I am born in Labuan. I am not a politician and I only speak ‘Nothing but the Truth’. First of all, I would like to ask SK Lau, how long he is staying in Labuan and how many problem he knew about Labuan as he himself is from West Malaysia and if I am not mistaken he is from Penang.

I am not against any opposition idea as I've mentioned above that I am not a politician. I think SK Lau should suggest the Government to approve another new ferry company to bring vehicle to mainland than building a bridge to Menumbok and this may close down business outlet in Labuan as everyone will just drive to Kota Kinabalu to have breakfast and shopping coz every second the Labuanites can just drive to KK even midnights if the bridge is builds.

Labuan at present is a duty free island and at least it can still attract outsider to come and have holiday in the island and buy cheap alcohol, cigarette, chocolate and perfume. Don't mention about Johore or Penang Bridge. I would like to ask SK Lau, what is the population in Penang and Johore?

Labuan only have 70,000 people and do you think Sabah people will drive to Labuan to buy thing or having breakfast in Labuan? I think Labuan People will drive to Kota Kinabalu to have lunch and shopping? Did you see Kota Kinabalu people drive to Papar or Beaufort district to have lunch or dinner? This two district folk will drive to KK to have Dinner?

SK Lau should propose the bridge to be build from Labuan to Brunei to attract Brunei people to the Island like the bridge from Johore to Singapore. Secondly, SK Lau should request the government to let another more faster new ferry company to operate.

Thirdly, regarding hospital emergency case he should propose the government to put a standby high power small ferry to transport hospital vehicle to mainland during emergency and that will be enough.

And fourth, SK Lau should propose low fare and more flight to Labuan from KK as the 30 minute to KK-Labuan-KK fare is more expensive than KK-Kuala Lumpur with two and half hours journey.
