CNY CHARITY SALE IN AID FOR KASIH





THE KOTA Kinabalu Member of Parliament Office will be holding a charity sale on the 8th of February 2013 starting from 6pm to 10pm in the Kota Kinabalu Foh Sang shops where the annual CNY night market will be held.

The charity sales organizing chairperson Andrew Lee Chee Kiong is the special assistant to the KK MP Hiew King Cheu, and he said this is aiming to raise fund to help the Sabah AIDS Support Services Association (KASIH).

The KASIH is in need of financial aid to sustain its operation which covers a large area from medication expenses to mobile campaign talks to alert and teach the people on the danger of attracting the deadly and no cure virus.

The members of the KASIH also set up a home-stay for the people who travel from the remote kampongs to seek treatment in KK hospitals. There are some young Aids patients who also being taken care off by the home where food and medication are provided for free.

The expenses is big and its is a taxing job, to do that the centre needs to constantly seek financial support from kind hearted sponsor in order to maintain its work.

Andrew Lee said the KK MP Office has decided to offer its help in organizing a charity sale stalls in the night market for the purpose. The goods for sale are kind donations from various people which including items like eggs, breads, vegetables, drinks and many other varieties of food items.

He wanted to have more items and goods for sale during the night, and if any one interested to help the KASIH and the sick people and children who are carriers of the AIDS. Please contact the KK MP Office at 088254987 or 0168120888 to arrange with him.

The CNY is also a festive season to do charity work, therefore for the Chinese who wishes to do charity donation during festive season, this is the right time.  

The Sabah DAP members will be coming to help out with the charities sales in front of the KK MP Office in Foh Sang shop CNY night market to extend greetings and wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year. (DAP Media)
