MORE UMNO MEMBERS JOINT APS

PROUD.... Said Bin Dayong (2nd from right) handing over the 152 applications forms to Lesaya.

152 former UMNO members in Beluran have left the party and applied to join Angkatan Perubahan Sabah (APS) by sending their membership application forms directly to the APS Head Office.

The leader of the group, Said Bin Dayong, himself a former UMNO leader in Beluran travelled all the way from Sugut  Beluran to the APS Head Office in Inanam to personally deliver their membership application forms.

Among other things, Said Dayong said that the majority of the UMNO members, especially those from the Dusun Sungai community are disillusioned with leadership of UMNO who have been promising to solve the problems relating to land issues and ownership but until today after 19 years in power, they have yet to show proof of their sincerety in solving this problems.

Said added that they have no option now but to give full support to the struggle of APS and Pakatan Rakyat with the hope that their plight would be seriously and positively addressed when PR takes over the government, be it the Sabah State Government or Putrajaya.

While at the APS head office, Said Dayong convey his request for APS President Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Bumburing to visit his area and express his readiness in helping PR win in Sugut come GE13.

"This latest development goes to show that the emergence and presence of APS and its agenda as pointed out in the yellow book, "Aspiration and Struggles of The People of Sabah,"  have reached the far corners of Sabah.

This also prove that APS is on the right track and have made the right decision by aligning itself with Pakatan Rakyat having had the contents of the Yellow Book being agreed upon the leaders of all the Pakatan Rakyat components members, especially from PR leader, Dato Seri Anwar Ibraim himself.

"APS also hereby put on record its full acceptance and concurrance of the Kuching Declaration as whatever is formulated and accepted  within the framwork of the Kuching Declaration is already outlined in the Yellow Book."
