SIPITANG : We’re not
hesitant to review any State Government agencies that are not performing or
under performing if SAPP formed the next State Government including MUI (Majlis
Ugama Islam Sabah), said Hj Amde Sidik during the visit of group of mualaf
representing the Perstuan Mualaf Sipitang to SAPP’s office in Mesapol, Sipitang
last night.
Amde Sidik is Deputy
President of Sabah Progressive Party said we’ve local expertise in all fields
including Islamic Religion no need to import them.
"The problem I
noticed is the deployment of experts is not done based on merit but rather done
arbitrarily or because of their connections, this can cause problem to some
people who have expertise on specific fields, they can get frustrated in end
they become under perform.
"The issue
raised up by the mualaf group is about welfare assistants if available to them,
perhaps they must have been comparing with others, for example, why others got
and they did not, again issue of fairness of distribution of assistance.
"Sometime ago I
commented on issue of how is Baitul Mal functioning is it or is not within the
ambit of MUIS but so far no one responded not even MUIS," said Amde.
People do want to
know, like where and how collections of Zakat Fitrah-tithes over the years have
gone to. Nowadays people expect transparency, and nothing is wrong because
Islam practices transparency to avoid suspicion. (SAPP Media)
