SABAH DAP Kota Kinabalu Parliamentary Liaison Committee Youth and Wanita launched a charity drive in aid of the Sabah Thalassaemia Society at Gaya Street last month.
A special discount book of coupons redeemable for goods and services obtained from many shops, restaurants and other outlets worth over RM400, vailable for only RM35 with the proceeds (part) as funds to help the Sabah Thalassaemia Society.
Sabah DAP KK Youth and Women wings are very grateful for the kind hearted people and their strong support. One of our sponsors is Frenz Café who funded 10 discount coupon books (see picture), and we appreciate their willingness to help the unfortunate people.
The Youth Chief Junz Wong said, currently Sabah Thalassaemia Society covers over 1500 patients and their families, and provided help in many levels of Thalassaemia care.
All of these treatments are very expensive and most of the patients come from poor families for the interior areas.
Therefore, Sabah DAP called on all the kind-hearted people to support the fund-raising activities.
