MAID RAPED, THROWN OUT OF WINDOW

A MAN forced his way into a neighbour's flat, raped the maid twice and then threw her out of a second-floor window, the Singapore High Court was told.

The woman survived, and identified the jobless 44-year-old as her assailant. The man faces five charges two of aggravated rape and one each of attempted murder, causing hurt with a dangerous weapon, and trespassing.

The Indonesian woman was 26 when she was attacked in 2009. The man allegedly raped her, cut her with a pair of scissors and tried to strangle her with some raffia string before throwing her out of a window of the flat. (The Straits Times)
