ILLEGAL....Illegally park vehicles near QEH.
THE CAR parking problems here in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital 1 in the Kota Kinabalu City has not improved and the authorities are still taking no immediate action to rectify or to solve the problems here.
The Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament Hiew King Cheu recently visited the hospital and found the car owners are still being forced to park their cars by the road sides, on the roundabout, on the walkway risking being summoned by the traffic police every day.
There is no parking space to allow the drivers to park their cars safely, and the only available two storey car park is being used up by the hospital vehicles, ambulances, doctor's and nurse's cars. The visitors and patients will have to park their cars illegally out side.
The new hospital twin-tower blocks will be completed soon and meaning that there are some additional 600 hospital beds will be ready in a year's time. The number of patients, visitors, doctors, nurses and hospital staffs will increase drastically to at least 10 times compared to now. Where are all these people's car is going to park?
Why the government has not started on the construction of an additional multi-storey car park to cater for the urgent need now , and for the future need too. It is urgently required now, why wait and no action taken? The new multi-storey car park should have a parking facility for at least 500 cars.
It will be interesting to know whether the government will eventually build this new multi-storey car park or not. If not, the government should pay for our summons instead for unable to provide parking space in QEH 1.
We want the government to tell us what is the plan to solve the long outstanding parking problems here. This is totally unacceptable and it reflected the slackness of the BN government for unable to meet the needs of the people.
A new multistory car park should be constructed in resolve the lack of parking space near the hospital. Hope that funds will be allocated for this purpose.
DeleteI is illegal and not to mention, dangerous to park on the road side, island or round about. There should be a proper parking lot for the people.
ReplyDeleteIllegal parking nombor dua tapi bagi saya bahaya bah ni. Contoh paling senang saya sendiri, masih lagi P, kalau drive kwsn mcm ni konpom buntut kereta yang parking tu kena. aduii
DeleteIt is time for the local and federal government to do something on this matter. I am sure the ministers in the Minister of Health will do something ..
ReplyDeleteIt is ironic that there is a lack of car parks for most of the building in the state. Think special law has to pass to solve this problem esp. to the car parks in the hospitals. Agree?
Deletecan't really blame the people for the illegal parking due to the lack of parking space
ReplyDeletethe government will need to build this new multi-storey car park to solve this problem..
Deletebangunan dibina semakin bertambah tapi tempat letak kereta pula yang kurang.
DeleteBukan setakat masalah parking, bas pun lambat. Kin panas saja tunggu.
ReplyDeleteIt is urgently required now, why wait and no action taken? The new multi-storey car park should have a parking facility for at least 500 cars.
There is no parking space to allow the drivers to park their cars safely, and the only available two storey car park is being used up by the hospital vehicles, ambulances, doctor's and nurse's cars. The visitors and patients will have to park their cars illegally out side.
ReplyDeleteI was there last week. It's really dangerous to look at those cracks.
ReplyDeleteJangan pertaruhkan nyawa orang lain.
ReplyDeleteThe Health Director explains that 200 parking lots will be opened by the end of this year.
ReplyDeleteThat is why Sabah needs a proper planning.
