FUNNY PIPES IN FRONT OF FOH SANG

FUNNY..... Edward and Robert inspecting the 'Funny' pipes.

THE PEOPLE in the Foh Sang shops questioned the logic behind the installation of the 500 over pieces of pipes being installed in front of the shops. They said this is not only ugly but also serve no real purpose, and especially the cars can be damaged by the poles which can not be seen from inside the car. Some shop owners also commented that their “Fung Shui” also being damaged whilst the pipes are actually blocking their business.

Edward Ewol Mujie, the Vice chairman of Sabah DAP and Robert Rajah, the assistant of KK MP Hiew King Cheu were called to view the situation on site and they concurred with the people here in Foh Sang shops. The pipes really look funny and impractical and it served no real purpose as it should be. The purpose of installing the pipes is believed to be for the purpose of stopping the cars from jumping into the shops. Some said that the pipes are some thin pipes, can it stop the cars?

Edward would appreciate that DBKK can disclose the total cost of the project to install the pipes, because there are talks that the pipes cost something like RM1,000 each. It will be appropriate for the DBKK to allow the people to know about the actual cost, and it is their money. He said the people’s money should be well spent and have its worth.

The people here said that at least they could be consulted first about the work to be carried out here first. The previous pavement/walkway construction had been the target of complaint, and now the funny pipes.
The people wanted the planting of the poles and change to some beautiful low flower planters in front of their shops with seasonal flowers which will increase the beauty environment of the Foh Sang shops plus the effectiveness in stopping the cars. The raised road kerbs in front the shops will also be useful.
