STATE Reform Party (Star) Sabah Chapter Chairman, Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan is a desperate politician who will say anything to get what he wants, according to Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Vice-President Datuk Herbert Timbon Lagadan.
"He (Dr Jeffrey) is highly educated but he does not possess the wisdom and kind-heartedness of PBS President Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan. Why must he (Dr Jeffrey) stoop so low to discredit and tell lies about his brother?
"By his own follies, he is exposing his level and qualities of leadership. Surely, right thinking Sabahans will not gamble their future on Dr Jeffrey," he said in a statement, Tuesday.
If indeed Dr Jeffrey is smart and educated, Herbert asked why he couldn't form his own party but seek shelter inside a Sarawakian hut (STAR)?
Herbert, who is State Community Development and Consumer Affairs Assistant Minister, was commenting on Dr Jeffrey's reported statement that Pairin had betrayed the State and the people's interests by working with and supporting Umno.
Herbert said Dr Jeffery was also cunning and that he once joined Umno by using a lesser known name of 'Gapari'. "Later, his ruse was uncovered when it was revealed that Gapari was in fact himself. It seems that Dr Jeffrey is losing his good memory."
How could he accuse Pairin of betraying the State and the people's interest by working with and supporting Umno?
"Has he (Dr Jeffrey) forgotten that sometime ago he had applied to be an Umno member using an unfamiliar name of 'Gapari' and in fact received membership in Umno."
What is the point of raising up the past when we should be focusing on the future.
