A DOCTOR was seriously hurt after being stabbed following a brawl at a popular nightspot along Jalan Tuaran.
It was believed that the 29-year-old man was having drinks with friends when the incident happened at about 5am on Wednesday.
It was not known how the nightspot was able to operate till that hour and is believed connected to a top KDM Malaysia member.
Deputy City Police Chief, Supt M. Chandra said the victim was stabbed in the back, adding he was scheduled to go for surgery soon.
"However, he is in stable condition. We have yet to establish the motive and what happened. We will know more after his operation," he said, urging those who witnessed the stabbing to come forward and help in the probe.
Recently, before its takeover, the outlet was the scene of a murder, also following a brawl.
