JANGAN HIDUP ATAS JANJI KOSONG


DATUK Seri Najib Tun Razak berkata rakyat tidak dapat hidup dengan harmoni jika terus terpedaya dengan pembangkang yang hanya pandai menabur janji bagi meraih sokongan undi setiap kali menjelang pilihan raya.

Perdana Menteri berkata pembangkang hanya mampu memperdagangan janji kosong dan selepas mendapat apa yang dihajati, mereka tidak mampu menunaikan janji kepada rakyat.

"Pembangkang mungkin boleh menjanjikan kita bermacam-macam...pada pilihan raya umum 2008, mereka buat banyak janji di Selangor tetapi hari ini kebanyakan janji itu tidak ditunaikan," katanya pada majlis pemimpin bersama rakyat yang dihadiri oleh 5,000 penduduk dari sekitar Kabong, Sarawak, Jumaat.

Najib berkata berbeza dengan kerajaan Barisan Nasional (BN) yang mana pemimpinnya sentiasa memastikan rakyat tidak kira di bandar mahupun luar bandar mendapat nikmat pembangunan secara adil dan saksama.

Menurutnya agenda pembangunan yang dibawa kerajaan BN bukan untuk jangka masa yang singkat sahaja tetapi program yang jangka panjang yang berterusan.

"Agenda ini berpanjangan dan diperkenalkan oleh Allahyarham bapa saya (Tun Abdul Razak), namun ia tidak akan dilaksana jika tiada kesinambungan kepimpinan sebagai mana dalam BN hari ini dan kini sampai giliran saya untuk teruskan," katanya.

Prihatin dengan masalah penduduk luar bandar, Najib berkata kerajaan telah meletakan program pembangunan kemudahan asas seperti jalan raya, bekalan elektrik dan bekalan air bersih sebagai agenda penting dalam Bidang Keberhasilan Utama Negara (NKRA).

Katanya, jika rakyat terus memberikan mandat mentadbir negara kepada BN untuk tempoh lima tahun lagi, kerajaan boleh melaksanakan lebih banyak program memakmurkan rakyat dan ia bukan satu janji kosong.

"Kita minta mandat bukan semata mata kita gila kuasa, kita nak tipu rakyat tapi kerana kita ada agenda besar yang perlu diselesaikan," katanya.

Menurut Najib BN perlukan sokongan yang berterusan daripada rakyat Sarawak yang selama ini telah banyak memberikan kepercayaan kepada pucuk pimpinan BN.

Pada majlis tersebut, Najib mengumumkan projek pembinaan jalan raya dan perparitan bernilai hampir RM26 juta bagi kawasan Parlimen Saratok.

Projek jalan raya itu melibatkan Jalan Ulu Krian/ULu Awik (RM18 juta), Jalan Ulu Kabong/Station DID Sesang (RM5 juta), naik taraf jalan Kampung Melango dan Pagan Saratok (RM2.5 juta), jalan kawasan padi Lubok Nibong (RM950,000) dan projek perparitan di Kabong dan Nyabor berharga RM200,000.

Dalam pada itu, Ketua Menteri Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud berkata hampir 700 kilometer jalan baru dibuat di Sarawak di bawah NKRA dan ia membuktikan kerajaan BN tidak hanya bercakap kosong dengan rakyat.

"Bila Perdana Menteri (Datuk Seri Najib) mengumumkan NKRA dua tahun lalu, ia telah banyak memberi tumpuan kepada Sarawak dan Sabah dan banyak kemudahan seperti jalan, bekalan elektrik dan kemudahan air bersih dilaksana untuk rakyat," katanya. (Bernama)

  3. Masih banyak kawasan2 yang belum dicapai oleh program di bawah NKRA ni.harap2 ia akan dapat dicapai secara menyeluruh beberapa tahun lagi.

  7. semakin lama jadi pembangkang, semakin banyak janji2 pelik dan tidak munasabah dia bagi.. begitulah keadaan pembangkang sekarang ini..

  8. entah bagaimana pembangkang mahu melaksanakan janji2 luar biasa mereka seperti pendidikan percuma, pemansuhan tol, pemansuhan cukai, menaikkan subsidi keperluan asas dan bahan api, memberikan elaun rm500 kepada semua guru2, dean sebagainya.. dari mana mereka dapatkan dana untuk membiayai semua janji2 mereka?? IMF??

  9. Barisan Nasional’s (BN) publicity & information bureau must be prepared to counter the opposition’s lies and allegations so that the people will not be cheated by those who are desperate to topple the government.

  10. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman, who is also Sabah BN and Umno chief, said the bureau should always equipped itself with knowledge and ability to explain to the people about the government’s policies and promises fulfilled by the party.
