FELDA SHOULD NOT BE PUBLIC LISTED

DAP Sabah state assistant secretary Junz Wong has expressed concerns over the news of Felda going for public listing. Junz said he has found out that Felda sdn Bhd holds at least 250,000 acres of land in Sabah. That is equivalent to 2.5times Singapore size!

Felda has been making extraordinary profits in the expense of Sabahan settlers with no accountability nor transparency as Felda sdn Bhd is wholly owned by the government under Ministry of Felda, which is directly under Prime Minister department.

With the land mass Felda owns out of Sabah lands, it is estimated to make at least RM1billion a year.

Junz Wong who is also the DAPSY Assistant Youth Chief elaborated, there is No Accountability because no one is allowed to check the account except for Ministry of Felda.

Junz challenged Ministry of Felda to reveal the accounts with transparency. These lands belong to the people and rakyat have the right to know.

We Sabahans oppose Felda from public listing. Once Felda is public listed, these Sabah lands owned by Felda will forever be lost. Junz said

Pakatan Rakyat Sabah Youth leaders have demanded BN Government to stop Felda from public listing immediately.

Junz called every Sabahan to vote for Pakatan Rakyat in GE13. PR will dissolve Felda and return the lands to the rightful owners - Sabahan settlers.

These lands are the resources of Sabahans which can bring billions every year for Sabah state government.
