GIVE EC THE POWER TO ACT DUBIOUS VOTERS.

DAP Sabah State Assistant Secretary said that The Election Commission Chairman, Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof revealed that he was consulting his legal advisors on whether EC could be given the power to delete such names.

At present the commission is not given any power to remove names of voters from the electoral rolls even if there were doubts over the authenticity of the voters.

Junz Wong demanded BN to come clean with EC plead.

"EC must be given its independent power to act against dubious voters names" he said.

Junz claimed there have been too many cases which have proven the irregularities in poll electoral roll but nothing has been done to address the public concerned issue.

Recently National Registration Department (NRD) conducted a very thorough verification exercise recently and found 42,051 of the names in the electoral roll were doubtful.

Although the status of the 42,001 registered voters were doubtful the EC chairman said there was nothing the commission could do.

DAP wanted the relevant Ministry to come clean with this whether or not EC will be given the independent power to delete dubious names when deemed necessary and doubtful.

Junz Wong who is also the DAPSY KK Youth Chief said DAP Sabah is supportive of Bersih3.0 + Himpunan Hijau3.0 rally to fight for a fair & clean electoral system.

Junz refuted Abdul Aziz claim that that was no valid reason to hold Bersih3.0

PSC has only agreed to implement indelible ink and extended campaign to 10days. Out of BersiH 8 demands, only one of people wishes has been fulfilled.

428 BersiH + Himpunan Hijau 3.0 rally is not held in KL but also Sabah this time around.

Junz encouraged every concerned Malaysia citizen to come out and join this noble movement to fight for our constitutional rights. The people power has undoubtedly risen and we must show the BN government, Rakyat is the boss and they must listen to the voice of the people.
