MURPHY OIL SUMBANG BANTUAN MAKANAN



PENDUDUK miskin dari 20 kampung luar bandar di Sabah akan mendapat bantuan 50,000 paket makanan istimewa yang disediakan petugas Murphy Oil Malaysia melalui program membasmi kelaparan dan kemiskinan.

Penerimanya termasuk mereka yang tinggal di Kota Belud, Kota Marudu, Pitas, Kudat, Tuaran, Tamparuli dan Nabawan, kata syarikat itu dalam kenyataan di Kuala Lumpur.

Baru-baru ini, kira-kira 100 petugas syarikat berkenaan dan anggota keluarga mereka membungkus makanan berasaskan bijirin yang dinyahhidratkan, dengan setiap paket mengandungi enam hidangan terdiri daripada beras putih panjang, tepung soya, sayur-sayuran campur, dan 21 vitamin serta bahan mineral perlu. Hidangan yang dinyahhidrat itu mempunyai tempoh hayat tiga tahun.

Syarikat itu berkata inisiatif tersebut dilaksanakan melalui Food For The Hungry International, Sabah, Malaysia (FHI Malaysia), sebuah pertubuhan bukan kerajaan yang melaksanakan program untuk kawasan luar bandar Sabah dan Sarawak.

Naib Presiden Murphy Oil Malaysia John James berkata syarikat itu menganjurkan kegiatan kesukarelaan sebagai cara "untuk meningkatkan kualiti hidup dengan memberi khidmat kepada komuniti tempat tinggal kita." (Bernama)

  1. Bikin malu org sabah saja minta makan sama outside people. All because incompetent state and federal government. How low can we go from this. Change the government. How worst can it be. You Musa, makan duit pun makan juga tapi jangan sampai rakyat sabah sampai kebuluran...

  3. I'm a Sabahan working in KL. Its sad and embarassing that my colleagues ask me if people is SABAH is that poory manages... I'm a BN supporter but now, i'll be at the forefront in wanting to government to be changed. ALL FELLOW SABAHAN, THINK OF WHO YOU SUPPORT, A GOVERNMENT WHO HAD PROVEN TO BE MORE THAN CAPABLE OG SYPHONING ALL THE WEALTH FROM SABAH AND LET ITS PEOPLE STARVED TO DEATH OR A NEW GOVERNMENT, ALTHOUGH UNTRIED BUT WILL NOT GO ANY WORST BUT I GUARANTEE WILL DO THIER BEST...

  4. Bantuan ini bukan bermaksud rakyat Sabah menghadapi tahap kebuluran. Pertubuhan ini hanya menjalankan kerja sosial/sukarela mereka.

  5. This is a good initiative from Murphy Oil to give aid to the hard core poor folks in these 20 villages in the state. I'm sure these food packets can help them to have sufficient food.

  6. The local villagers never asked for help from anyone, the Murphy Oil Group is willing to provide these help to the locals, please don't insult our people by thinking they are like beggars.

  7. The company is just fulfilling their corporate responsibility to help the people in Sabah and Sarawak, they did not extend the help because the people ask them for to.
