LONG LIVE SABAH PARTY

By: PARTY KING

FIRST and foremost, I am not against any West Malaysian party. But my contention is the hope that a local-based party or parties manage and govern Sabah, freed from the clutches of Malayans.

With the Batu Sapi parliamentary by-election just around the corner, the emergence of many self-claimed ‘unsung HEROes’ and opportunists under the pretence of fighting for Sabah and Sabahan rights were in fact remote-controlled by their bosses from across the South China sea.

By claiming to represent their WM party, these agents or salesmen are trying to sell their political product such as autonomy… full autonomy to decide and do what they like, unbothered and uninterrupted by their central leadership in Kuala Lumpur.

If that is true as they claimed, then we will not be hearing things like these “We let the central leadership decide and we will FOLLOW whatever decision made” sounds familiar.

Sabah local-based party like Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) is the best option for Sabahans to fight for Sabah’s rights and autonomy.

I felt the need to support our local party, SAPP, a purely local-based party, run and managed by Sabahans and my belief that it is only right that they (SAPP) should be contesting for the Batu Sapi seat.

PR parties should not be arrogant showing no respect nor sincerity to our local-based party by rejecting the “work together” offer by SAPP. We must not forget that Sabah, Sarawak and Malaya are equal partners as stated in the 20 points agreement.

Before Sabah was the richest state in Malaysia but today it is a different story (poorest in Malaysia). What went wrong? Is it the erosion of rights, usurping of power, borneonisation not practiced, oil and timber resources depletion, unfair practices etc. All these were because we do not have our autonomy.

Some quarters who termed SAPP as a Sabah-KL registered party showed their desperate attempt and insulting the intelligence of the people especially Sabahans. Any sane person knows that ROC and ROS are federal agencies and all parties and companies are approved by these entities.

Sabahans are more matured in politics nowadays daring for a change, so let all Sabahans unite under one pure and local-based party to topple BN in the coming by-election for P185 Batu Sapi.
