KOTA KINABALU: SAPP
President Datuk Yong Teck Lee today lodged a police report urging the police to
investigate the widespread allegation that he and the party had been paid RM80
million to split the opposition.
Lodging the said report at
the Karamunsing police station here, Yong urged the police to investigate the
allegation which constitutes criminal defamation by individuals via such social
media like Facebook and Twitter.
The allegation, which spread
like wildfire and during campaigning for the 13th general election, alleged
that Barisan Nasional Chairman cum Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak,
and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Hj Aman were responsible for giving
the money.
Yong also wants the police
to investigate whether Najib and Musa had committed corrupt practices and other
criminal offences, because if it is true about the RM80 million being paid to
him (Yong), then it means that corruption and other criminal offences had been
committed.
Besides this, he also wants
the police to investigate the spread of criminal defamation in the internet.
Yong said he was compelled
to lodge the said police report as, although the election is now over, such an
allegation was still being spread in public domain.
“Yesterday, I heard from my
colleague Dato Shuaib Mutalib that his family’s colleagues in offices are still
talking about this – RM80 juta fitnah-.
“During the general
elections, I heard from our colleagues in Kudat (Peter Tsen) and Beaufort
(Thomas Chong) the same lie being spread against SAPP.
“The common talk was that I
took a taxi to the house of Musa Aman to collect the RM80 million cash,” he
related.
In his police report, he
also named DAP Luyang assemblyman Dr Hiew King Cheu as the main suspect behind
the allegation.
“It is an absolute lie that
I and/or SAPP were paid anything by BN or Najib (UMNO president) and Musa
(Sabah Umno chairman) for whatever purpose. The lie was spread by our opponents
especially DAP Dr Hiew King Cheu, and assisted by BN people, to destroy our
Sabahans’ fight for autonomy,” he charged.
The former Chief Minister of
Sabah further stressed that SAPP will not take a single cent from its enemies
or from Malayan parties because to do so would weaken its fighting spirit.
“We do not need much money
to fight elections because we fight on issues, we do not use money politics, we
do not buy votes.
“The parties that used a lot
of money was BN-Umno which was very obvious, and PKR, which even had
helicopters to fly to Beaufort, Sipitang, Ranau and with PKR people dishing out
cash,” he claimed.
He added that being
opponents of BN-Umno, SAPP believes that Malaya parties want to treat Sabah and
Sabahans like “Kerbau Dicucuk Hidung” (like buffalo being led by its nose) ,
“to make us slaves of Malaya political-economy and to exploit our natural
resources to save Malaya which is already bankrupt.”.
He also stressed that to
succeed in struggle for autonomy Sabahans must also be self-reliant in their
capability, in their economy and in their spirit to fight. (BI)
Perjuangan bangsa bukan soal populariti tanpa sebarang sandaran kriteria.
DeleteUndi Popular berpaksikan konsep ‘samarata’.
ReplyDeleteI think he will be charged soon.
ReplyDeleteIni mungkin akan membawa ke muka pengadilan.
ReplyDeleteSerahkan kepada mahkamah untuk menentukannya.
DeleteNever thought he is famous in his age now.
ReplyDeleteShe said this was vital in an effort to exploit the potential of technology in learning as the internet would open up a gateway for information.
ReplyDeleteNampaknya sengatnya masih berbisa.
ReplyDeleteTua tua masih nak datang ke balai polis
ReplyDeleteApa salahnya jika ada kes untuk dilapor.
DeleteSabah could only finish in seventh placing as defending champion Sarawak retained the overall title when the 55th Malaysian Schools Sports Council (MSSM) Athletics Championships ended at the Darul Makmur Stadium, here, today.
ReplyDeleteSarawak who led from the second day of competition, won 18 gold, 15 silver, 16 bronze to surpass Selangor who finished with 12 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals for second place.
ReplyDeleteSabah picked up another two gold medals, along with another four silver and two bronze to end the five-day meet with a total haul of 6-12-10.
ReplyDeleteSabah’s two gold medals came through the girls, yet again. Fathin Faqihah Mohd Yusof won the Under-18 200m sprint in 25.55s and later anchored the Sabah quartet to gold in the 4 x 400m relay.
ReplyDeleteThe silver contributors were all from the boys; Ibrahim Saldam in the Under-15 200m, Mohammad Haimin Robert in the Under-15 200m hurdles, Athur Aron in the Under-18 400m hurdles and the 4 x200m relay quartet.
