FIRE VICTIM SEEK PUBLIC DONATIONS

THE RECENT fire that gutted a wooden house in Bukit Padang on the 2nd March 2012 has caused a couple living there losing everything they owned.

The fire victim Liang Hua Seng, age 49 is living in the wooden house with his wife carrying out traditional physio- therapy treatment. The fire occurred at 7 pm while they went out to do some shopping.

When they were informed by the neighbors that their house is on fire, they quickly rushed back but found that the whole house was on fire and burnt down. All their important documents and belongings were burnt to ashes.

They are now staying separately with some friends, and hoping to find a small room to stay next. Since now the house was burnt down, they place for them to work to make a living was also gone.

Due to the couple was poor and they have no saving, the fire has really put them into great difficulty. They have no one to turn to, so they went to see the KKMP Hiew King Cheu in his Foh Sang office to seek help from the MP.

On receiving them, MP Hiew viewed their situation as very unfortunate and he said the only way to help them is to sort for public help, hoping that some kind hearted people can donate some money to help him to tie over this difficult time until they can find an accommodation else way.
