BIG HOLES IN DAMAI PLAZA

BIG….The big holes behind Tong Hin Supermarket.

By : DAP MEDIA

THE PUBLIC approached the Sabah DAP to lodge their complaints on the two big holes at the back of Tong Hin Supermarket here. They said that the two big holes are just next to the road which had caused many cars fallen in and stuck there. There is always damage inflicted on the car. They said the DBKK had been informed and never come to do the repair and cover up the big holes.

John Lee Kim Seng, the Sabah DAP assistant publicity chief went on site to inspect the situation and he found the complaints are true. The two big holes on the pavement are very close to each other, and just sit by the road side around the corner of the road. The concrete covers had cracked and fallen into the deep drain below, and the holes are as big as 3 feet by 5 feet.

John Lee said this is even dangerous at night and someone could fall into the holes and get killed. John wonders why DBKK did not come immediately to repair and make good the big holes after receiving public complaint. Are they waiting for someone to get hurt before they act, and this could be a one day job? The repair work must be done with some strong reinforced concrete to support the load and even cars.

These big holes could be another dead-trap in the Kota Kinabalu City. We hope the case of the kindergarten teacher knocked down by a sign board pole would not happen again.
