THIS IS OUR ROAD AFTER 47 YEARS?

INSPECT… Edward and Hiew inspecting the Kg. Nounton Road

By : DAP MEDIA

THE village road in Inanam at Kg. Nounton, really needed upgrading work for the less than 2 kilometer of gravel road leading from the main road in Taman Nelly, Kolombong.

Sabah DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie and KK MP Hiew King Cheu were called in to visit the kampong to see the condition of the road. The kampong folks asked the road to be sealed and the drains to be constructed on both sides. They said they find it difficult to drive on this narrow gravel road especially during rainy days when the road is always flooded due to no proper drainage system.

Edward had spoke to the people in the village and also recorded their request. He told them he will find out whether the authority has any plan to seal the road for them. This is only a small job and it is near to the town, he doesn’t understand why it takes the government so long to get the road sealed for them.

Edward said even though there is not many people staying in the kampong here but still the road should be sealed for their convenience. We cannot have road that is filled with potholes and flooded whenever it rains. The authorities and the local YBs must act fast and not wait until election is near then quickly come in to trying to do something. In fact, it is a common knowledge that the BN YBs are always slow in their performance.
