SEWAGE problems in Kota Kinabalu
seems to be an endless problem faced by the public. The members of the public
just can't seem to understand why is DBKK still not up to date in solving such
problems.
This shows that DBKK is
inefficient and is in need of more professionals, desperately to manage and
solve problems faced by members of the public. Many complaints by the public
were not recorded by the council and were not attended too due to certain
irresponsible ignorant individuals.
Andrew Lee, Special
Assistant to KK MP, received a complaint from a coffee shop operator here, from
Bandaran Berjaya. The sewage system has not been service for many years now and
it has been overflowing with unbearable smelly sewage water. The "Kedai
Kopi Kampar" owner had made numerous complaints to DBKK complaints
"Hotline".
However no action was taken
by the relevant department. It has been two months now and the shop owner is
fed up and furious over this matter. We were made to understand that the
"Smelly Sewage Water" is over flowing to the main road and the smell
is unbearable.
Sabah DAP urges DBKK to be
more sensitive towards the public and to ensure cleanliness in Kota Kinabalu
city. DBKK has a duty towards the public who are tax payers. Sabah DAP hopes
that public funds will not be wasted and it should be used to benefit the
public.
