Naib Presiden Umno, Datuk
Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi berkata tindakan itu bertujuan mengelak risiko
kehilangan lebih banyak sokongan terhadap parti itu.
Beliau berkata sebelum ini
tindakan tata tertib hanya dilakukan selepas pilihan raya berakhir namun ia
Justeru, Ahmad Zahid berkata
pihak. (Bernama)
This is the best action against those members who tried to sabotage the party. This is to prevent one rotten apple for ruining the whole barrel.
ReplyDeleteThose members who no longer wished to fight together with the party should just leave instead of becoming an obstacle, the people are the ones who will suffer in the end.
ReplyDeleteInternal problems kadang2 melemahakan parti
ReplyDeleteSabah Umno will leave it to the discretion of party leadership to decide on the candidates for the 13th general election, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
ReplyDeleteSabah Umno has submitted its list of candidates for the coming 13th general election to the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership, its liaison chief Datuk Seri Musa Aman said.
ReplyDelete“We’ve submitted the names; it will be up to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak who is Barisan Nasional chairman to decide,” Musa, who is Sabah Umno liaison chief, told reporters after chairing a good governance meeting here.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Musa declined to reveal if there were ‘new faces’ on the list, saying, “I cannot tell you now.”
Meanwhile, Musa called on all agencies in the state to discard any tendency to procrastinate so as not to jeopardise the state’s excellent financial management as highlighted in the 2010 Auditor-General’s Report.
Musa was speaking at a press conference after chairing the State Government Integrity in Governance Committee meeting at Wisma Innoprise.
He said procrastination would push up costs, cause wastage and result in the people or target group not getting any benefit.
The state government’s excellent achievement in numerous aspects should bring about positive impact, not only to showcase the state’s administrative competence but also bring immense benefit to the people.
Musa also called on state departments and agencies to strive to maintain the state’s achievements.
He said despite the favourable audit report, several agencies, particularly those issued with reprimands, need to overcome their weaknesses.
Musa also called for a people-oriented approach in all services provided by agencies and departments.
Applications for government services should be processed at once, he said, adding that the RM4 billion state budget this year was a reflection of the state government’s ability to manage its finance
Meanwhile, Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan who was met after the meeting said the party had yet to submit its list of candidates.
“We will be doing it soon and will leave it to the BN leadership to decide on the issue of the PBS’ status quo on seats allocation,” he said.
In the 12th general election in 2008, Sabah BN won 59 of the 60 state constituencies and 24 of the 25 parliamentary seats.
Sabah Umno won all 32 states seats it contested while PBS won 12 of the 13 seats it vied for.
