SOGCA BANTAH SYARIKAT ASING DI SOGT KIMANIS

KOTA KINABALU : Persatuan Kontraktor Minyak dan Gas Sabah (SOGCA) berkata pemberian kontrak kepada syarikat asing seperti yang berlaku di SOGT Kimanis bukan sahaja merampas hak asasi kontraktor tempatan dan para pekerja tempatan negeri Sabah malah ia juga menyebabkan pengaliran keluar wang ke luar negara.

Sehubungan itu, Presiden SOGCA Datuk Iskandar Datuk Malik meminta pihak syarikat gergasi minyak dan gas yang beroperasi di Malaysia supaya menunaikan tanggungjawab sosial mereka kepada negeri Sabah.

Menurut Iskandar, peluang-peluang yang diberikan akan membantu negeri Sabah dalam mempertingkatkan peluang pekerjaan kepada penduduk di negeri Sabah dan seterusnya dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup rakyat.

“SOGCA menuntut dan mencabar pihak Petronas, Shell, Murphy, Exxon, Talisman dan syarikat gergasi minyak dan gas yang beroperasi di Malaysia terus memberikan peluang kontrak kepada ahli-ahli SOGCA dan kontraktor-kontraktor minyak dan gas di Sabah.

Beliau berkata demikian ketika berucap merasmikan Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan Persatuan Kontraktor Minyak dan Gas Sabah (SOGCA) yang telah diadakan bertempat di La Bastille, Novotel, 1Borneo, Kota Kinabalu, baru-baru ini.

Dalam pada itu, Iskandar mengulangi pendirian dan komitmennya kepada ahli-ahli SOGCA untuk menjadikan SOGCA sebagai sebuah persatuan yang releven dengan berobjektifkan menjadikan persatuan tempatan yang akan menyuara dan mempertahan hak-hak ekonomi penduduk dan kontraktor-kontraktor minyak dan gas negeri Sabah.

Selain itu jelas Iskandar lagi SOGCA akan menyediakan agensi pelaksana tempatan yang berkesan dalam sektor minyak dan gas, membangunkan bekalan tenaga mahir tempatan dalam bidang minyak dan gas dan menyediakan panduan yang terkini dan berkesan serta bertaraf antarabangsa kepada kontraktor-kontraktor minyak dan gas tempatan.

Iskandar yang juga salah seorang Panel Penasihat kepada Pennwell, sebuah organisasi penganjur seminar antarabangsa yang beribu pejabat di Amerika Syarikat berkata juga akan terus bekerjasama dengan penganjur-penganjur seminar antarabangsa untuk menganjurkan seminar tentang aktiviti perusahaan minyak dan gas di Sabah dan Malaysia amnya.

“ Ia adalah bertujuan untuk memberikan ruang pendedahan kepada kontraktor-kontraktor minyak dan gas di Sabah tentang perkembangan dan maklumat serta teknologi terkini dalam sektor minyak dan gas. “ katanya lagi.

Dalam perkembangan berkaitan Mesyuarat pada tahun ini telah mengadakan pemilihan Ahli Jawatankuasa SOGCA bagi sesi 2012-2015, AJK SOGCA yang baru adalah seperti berikut Presiden , Datuk Iskandar Datuk Malik , Timbalan Presiden, Bakir Mancaing ,Setiausaha Agung Patrict Sulaiman Bin Sinnil Mohd. Sabri, Bendahari Mohd. Zulfikar Bin Ahmad.
Sementara Ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa yang terpilih terdiri daripada Bonipasius Bianis, Ambotola Pelu, Rosli  Awang Damit, Awang Marjuki Awang Weng, Dadar Singh, Manjur Datuk Seri Mastan.

  2. syarikat asing memang banyak pegalaman dan tinggi kemahiran tapi biarlah syarikat tempatan ni diberi peluang untuk membuktikan bahawa mereka setanding dengan syarikat asing.

  11. jika syarikat asing itu mempunyai kepakaran dan pengalaman dalam bidang minyak dan gas, kenapa tidak guna peluang ini untuk menimba pengalaman dan meningkatkan kepakaran??

  12. jika peluang diberikan kepada kontraktor tempatan, ada pula yang cakap kononnya projek itu diberikan kepada kroni.. bila diberikan kepada kontraktor asing, timbul pula tuduhan kononnya kontraktor tempatan tidak diberikan peluang..

  15. Datuk Musa said that the state should receive a larger share in the oil and gas. For a start, Sabah as Petrosab Logistics and Yayasan Sabah Group should play a more active role for the oil and gas contracts,with key players like Petronas.

  22. Datuk Musa see long-term perspective. He saw the development that has been launched in the oil and gas industry as a means of enhancing oil royalty for Sabah, create more jobs and thus further downstream priming, according to Datuk Musa, there are additional attractions have a school oil-related training in SOGT, and this will open a new horizon to the people of Sabah, especially Bumiputera group to engage in oil and gas and related areas.

As a center for oil and gas industry, Datuk Musa saw it as a suitability for development into a town "common facilities" with helicopters and military aircraft hangars, health clinics, supply base and warehouses, workshops and service centers and offices in addition to providing training to school latest equipment. He also wants Sipitang this benefit.

    As a key component of the state economy, in 2009 the oil and gas amounted to 8.2 percent Gross National Product, while crude oil amounted to 37.4 per cent of Sabah's total exports with an estimated value of RM13.9 billion.

    With holdings in offshore Sabah by 14%from natural gas storage Malaysia, part of the long-term vision is to create a petro-chemical industries such as refineries downstream, methanol plant and complex process petrochemicals.
