20 YEARS NO TITLES AND ASSESMENT?

GARBAGE….. The pile of garbage along the road.

SABAH DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie and Beaufort Chief, Jamil Zakaria were with the KK MP cum Sabah DAP advisor Hiew King Cheu visited the Taman Kimanis/Perapat Kimanis near Papar here on last Sunday afternoon. This is a low cost housing comprising of some 170 over units of houses, and it is built during the 80’s.

The resident here complained to the KK MP regarding the various poor conditions of the housing here which they said had been neglected by the Papar District Council for many years. The roads here are poor, and there is no garbage disposal service here.

The houses were not issued with land titles and they are still waiting for the authorities to get it ready after almost twenty years now. The Papar District Council had not collected any house assessment since and the people here are not happy about the dirty environment here. The residents here are using the road side as their garbage dumping ground which had become unsightly and smelly.

The residents welcome the visit made by the KK MP Hiew and the DAPs to their housing. They said it is seldom that there is an MP visiting their area, and they wish their problems can be heard so that the authorities can come to assist them immediately. The people called for the housing roads to be resealed or at least patched up to a level surface. It is full of pot holes now.

A few garbage collection centers will help to keep all the rubbish in a closed condition, and not being thrown all over the place.

Hiew said the Papar Council should come in to immediate carry out the necessary task of clean up the garbage from the road side and arrange to patch up all the broken roads here.

It is high time that someone should do their job and help those poor people here in the Kimanis Jaya/ Perapat Kimanis. On the other hand, where are the BN YBs? Are they too busy to help these people, or they are busy in Kuala Lumpur? The low cost housing should be taken care off without any further delay.

Edward and Jamil saw the pile of rubbish along the road felt very sad because it is a horrible scene to see in the 21st century there is still such bad situation existed. The BN government had totally ignored the well being of the people in Kimanis and Papar. They just have to put in a little effort and the problem will be solved. Why can’t they do it then? The kampong folks here are not happy about their YBs.
