I TOTALLY agree for
foreigners to be granted citizenship if they have been here for decades
legally. However, is iindeed morally and politically wrong to grant citizenship
to foreigners who came into the country through illegal means and legally wrong to grant citizenship to
foreigners with refugees status.
But somehow, the are
foreigners who are qualified to be granted such citizenship and given Malaysian
IC, who have been waiting for their
citizenship applications to be approved but have not been approved for reason
not specifically stated by the approving authorities.
Under the 20-points
agreement which the basis of the Malaysia Agreement 1963, though NRIC issues is
under federal matters, the State authorities must be consulted when approving
citizenship to foreigners. The approving of citizenship must be purely on
constitutional grounds and not 'mass issuance' of ICs by the authorities.
The mass issuance of
citizenship by the authorities can be seen as more politically motivated rather
than the questioning of such exercise.
Surprisingly question arises as to why Tun Dr. Mahathir have been mum on
this issues for all these yearsvsince he step down as PM and now he come out
suddenly and voice his strong support for the granting of citizenship to the
huge number of foreigners just when the PM is coming over Sabah to formally
announce the formation of RCI.
It seem as though seem that
Dr. M is seen to be trying to block the formation of RCI to investigate the
PATI issues. That being the case, the content of the book by Mutalib M.D, 'PROJECT
IC: AGENDA TERSEMBUNYI MAHATHIR?' has a lot of truth in it and out to be
presented to the RCI as part of the evidences to support the allegation that
the granting of citizenship and issuance of MyKad to foreign citizens contain
sinister polical agendas that started during the Mahathir era.
Nevertheless, with the high
expectation and high hope on the visit bythe PM to shed more light on the
formation and implementaion of RCI, the statementof Dr. M is an anti-climax of
the visit by the PM, as well the impending annoucement and implementation of
the RCI by him.
Along these lines, we have
high confidence that the PM will eventually and formally announce the formation
of the RCI despite the distraction and other issues raised by certain political
leaders who seem to be trying to block the formation of the RCI including Tun
Dr. Mahathir.
I suggest he (Tun Dr.
Mahathir) should just retire peacefully and let the PM runs the administration
of this country without any outside intereference."
DeleteBersih Sabah suggested to included identifying those who are involved in the Project IC and set down the punishment in the Terms of Reference.
DeleteTidak perlu block RCI, RCI diperlukan di Sabah. Ini adalah kenyataan.
ReplyDeleteRCI is needed in Sabah to investigate the illegal immigrant issue so that the electoral rolls can be clean up before the next GE.
Deletesemua inginkan RCI ditubuhkan. RCI perlu bagi atasi isu PATI.
ReplyDeletetubuhkan sahaja RCI
ReplyDeletelagipun, ini permintaan majoriti
ReplyDeletebiarlah kali ini kerajaan mendengar suara rakyat
ReplyDeleteRCI ditubuhkan atas permintaan rakyat Sabah. Mahathir tiada alasan mahu bantah.
Deletekerajaan harus mendengar suara ramai rakyat Sabah
ReplyDeleteThe people's feedback should be taken into consideration when implementing something new.
Deletesokongan tentu akan diberikan oleh rakyat jika kerajaan utamakan suara ramai
ReplyDeleteI believe most of the Sabahans are in support of the RCI, hopefully Datuk Najib Razak will approve it.

I think it's better that Dr Mahathir not interfere with the current Prime Minister's decision to implement the RCI.

Sekiranya sudah diluluskan tiada pihak yang boleh membatalkan RCI.
ReplyDeleteIn a democratic country, this man would be arrested and tried for treason, undermining and destroying the Nation through: a) Apartheid & racism. b) Deception of the public with controlled media and rigged elections. c) Weakening almost all institutions of governance including the legislature, judiciary, police, ACC/MACC, the Election Commission, and the Attorney-General's Chambers. d) Mis-management, manipulation and corruption causing losses in hundreds of billions of RM$. If convicted all stolen assets to be returned and then the Convict executed for treason. It is appalling these people behave like heros, saints and kings without the slightest remorse or sense of shame. His sons are directors of 200 companies and drive some of the most expensive cars in the world, eg the Ferrari Enzo & the RM5.5million Bugatti Veyron…Am writing from a truly transparent and democratic country, NZ.
ReplyDeleteSabah & Sarawak are a total tragedy, swindled and sucked dry Taib, PBB, & by Putrajaya. Not even a proper trunk road! The natives lack electricity and drinking water while Criminals bought submarines and built twin towers costing multi-billions for kick-backs. All cronies live in palaces. Outrageous! Just compare: Scotland in Great Britain and Quebec in Canada had an open, honest & fair national referendum on cessation/separation. Any talk of independence and your ex CM Tun Faud Donald Stephen died in a crash. BN's evil is earth-shaking. Finish them off now!
ReplyDeleteSoros: “In Australia you are known as the recalcitrant ego maniac; in UK the corrupt bastard… stupid purchase of our movie studio…290 Million Ringgit Lotus racing car plant and the shady Pergau dam loans from the UK. They are useless to us and you still want to buy them. What about buying British reject submarines through your agent…Your purchase of our battleships is at least 50% more than others are paying. Your purchase of 9 hospitals from UK…does not support your local architects or your industry and the British send you obsolete medical equipmt. …your face appears no less than 17 newspapers as a corrupt dictator. In Malaysia you are known as the (IBM) International Big Mouth. In Japan they call him the 'smallest one' (brain size)…In S America they call him the parrot (he talks a lot but does not know….). “
