GORGEOUS GIRLS AT FERRARI RACES

THE FIRST Ferrari Racing Days in Japan took place at the Suzuka Circuit recently - with a weekend seeing owners involved in non-competitive programmes.

Over 600 Ferraris ran on the famous track, providing a unique spectacle which ended with a thrilling display from Mika Salo at the wheel of a F2008, the car the Scuderia raced in at a F1 championship.

The Finnish driver also tried his hand in the two legs of the Asia Pacific Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli held for the first time in Japan.

The high level of competition shows that this new championship is proving ever more popular with its competitors, with 31 drivers attending this round.

In the grid for those 458 Challenge cars running in the Trofeo Pirelli, Race 1 was dominated by Japan's Hisamori Hayashi who crossed the line ahead of Italy's Philippe Prette and Japan's Motoaki Ishikawa.

Race 2 of Pirelli produced spectacular results with victory going to Prette, who won over Hayashi and Pasin of Thailand.

The situation remained very open in the Coppa Shell, with the top spot in Race 1 going to Eric Cheung of Canada, who crossed the line in front of Alex Au from Hong Kong and Singapore's Gregory Teo in second and third respectively, while Tack Sung Kim of South Korea) emerged victorious in Race 2, followed by Au and Teo.

Other than the races and gorgeous Ferrari cars, the beautiful grid girls and models made the races even more complete.

The prior touches for a rounded Ferrari Racing Days at Suzuka were two gala dinners prior to the races. (asiaone)
