A jobless man was charged with raping an 84-year-old granny in Hong Kong. Kwok Yau Kit was charged with committing the crime in last year.
Kwun Tong Magistrate's Court heard that the 51-year-old knew the victim and had visited her at her home in Tuen Mun numerous times and raped her.
Kwok was charged with one count of rape. However, the prosecution officer said the accused could be slapped with more charges later.
The married Kwok appeared calm when the charge sheet was read to him at the court. The court has set May 18 for mention. It has also ordered for Kwok to remain in custody pending a DNA test. (Ming Pao, HK)
