SEX WITH MINOR: 44 MEN CHARGED

FORTY-FOUR men in Singapore were charged in court on Monday with commercial sex with an underage girl. The men, from all walks of life, are between 21 and 48 and face between one and four charges each.

Most of them were represented by lawyers. The then principal of a primary school school Lee Lip Hong, 39, was the only one to admit to the two charges of having paid S$500 (RM1,200) on each of two occasions for sex with the girl under 18 at Hotel 81 Bencoolen on Sept 26 and Dec 14, 2010.

His case is fixed for mention on April 27. Foo Kim Meng, 45, is accused of four charges.

He allegedly paid S$500 on each occasion for sex with the underage girl at Hotel 81 Bencoolen and Strand Hotel in Bencoolen Street between October 2010 and January 2011. (The Straits Times)
