A 29-YEAR-OLD doctor who was stabbed from behind following an argument in an entertainment outlet here has undergone surgery safely.
City police chief ACP Ahmad Sofi Zakaria yesterday said police had not made any arrest as they were still carrying out investigation to determine what actually happened which led to the stabbing.
It is said that the doctor who hails from Peninsular Malaysia was having a drink with his friends when the assailant stabbed him on the back with a sharp object around 2am on Wednesday.
Ahmad Sofi said police had yet to ascertain the motive behind the stabbing as they were waiting for the doctor to recuperate following his operation.
He said police would also interview more people and urged those who witnessed the incident to come forward to assist them in their investigation.
This was the second stabbing at the same entertainment outlet where a 32-year-old entertainment outlet employee died after being stabbed on April 11, 2010. (theborneopost)
