SANDAKAN: Deputy Housing and
Local Government Minister Datuk Lajim Ukin hit out at those who spread rumours
that he was quitting Umno.
The Beaufort Member of
Parliament, who is also an Umno Supreme Council member, said such a rumour was
spread with the aim of sidelining him from Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno
mainstream politics.
“I’m still in BN, a deputy
minister and a member of the Umno Supreme Council. The rumour is spread by
those irresponsible so that the political situation becomes tense.
“This normally happens with
the approaching of the general election,” he told reporters after launching the
Batu Sapi chapter of the Association of Sabah Bumiputera Cultural Heritage
(Waris) here.
Lajim, who is Waris
president, said this in response to rumours that he was leaving Umno. (Bernama)

ReplyDeleteIt could be a strategy by the opposition to bring down lajim before election comes.
DeleteLajim should had slam the rumours earlier when the rumours first started.
