HU BING: I'M NOT GAY

GAY.....Hu Bing says the gay rumours have not affected his popularity.

SAY what you want but Chinese heartthrob Hu Bing insists that he's not gay. For over a decade, the hunky model-turned-actor, who was spotted in gar bars in Hong Kong before, has been rumoured to be a homosexual. What's more, his name is being linked to Edison Chen's father, with the tabloids painting a picture of them being a couple.

Yes, he's "close friends" with Chen's father, said Hu, but he denied that they share something more than friendship.

"If we're indeed more than friends, why hasn't anyone photographed anything between us yet?" he questioned.

While he denied that he's into guys, he's not at all perturbed by these rumours, viewing it as "a game commonly played in the showbiz."

"I'm 40 years old and wouldn't I be too childish to be bothered?

"I'm not affected. I still get work offers. So I don't really care about it," he said, believing that the rumours would stay with him even if he quit showbiz one day.

Furthermore, he expressed his wish of settling down with a woman and having children of her own.

"I need to have a family (at the end of the day). So don't be surprised if you see me feeding or changing diapers for a baby one day," he said.

Though he's a picture of serenity in face of the rumours and speculations, his loved ones were not that calm. He revealed that. at one point, his mother was contemplating legal actions towards those who spread lies. She eventually gave up after he persuaded her not to get upset over the rumours. (news.cn)
