The Mini Putrajaya Building in Likas, next to the UMS is facing with a real headache with its lack of car parking space here.
The general public who come to the Mini Putrajaya for the Immigration office, JPN, SPR and many other Federal departments always had to park their cars on the sides of the main roads.
There is just no car park available to cater for that many cars daily. The people will just have to park on the pavements, on the roads, and even on the turf area. They always risk the police summons.
The car parking space within the building is already occupied by the people working in the building and the general publics are not allowed to enter or park into the car parks.
Sabah DAP State Vice Chairman Edward Ewol Mujie received the many complaints from the people and he found out that the situation is really getting worst. The cars are parked all over the road sides and even double parked in some places. The people had to walk very far to get into the building under the hot sun and rain.
Edward urges the authorities to pay special attention to get the car parking problem sorted out and to build more car parks using the empty land adjacent to the building. There should be some covered walk way to link up the car parks to the main building. The federal building is the main administration centre and this should not be seen like a general market where there is no proper system of parking the cars.
There are plenty of open lands in the nearby area, why can’t the additional car parks be built immediately to benefit the drivers?
The public also asked for the overhead pedestrian foot bridge to be built across the main road in front of the building. They said it is very dangerous to cross the main road due to the heavy traffic flow, especially during the peak hours.
Edward asked why during the original planning stage of the federal building all these essential facilities were not incorporated in the design, and now it is causing a lot of problems to the general public. It is high time that these are to be put right.
This matter should not be happened if accurate plan planning to be done before this building construction.
ReplyDeleteHope this problem get attention from respective party and overcome immediately for public convenience.
ReplyDeleteThe thing is, these building has been build as it is & nothing can be done to redo it again, except the government decided to demolished all the buildings & do it again on the specification stated by Edward...
ReplyDeleteInstead of asking why does the building built as it is today, Edward should give a suggestion on how to solve the parking problems...Edward should learn more from Hiew King Cheu, because Hiew usually will give a suggestion on how to solve a problems...
The best thing that can be done is consider building a parking building nearby if there are sufficient space.
ReplyDeleteTry to solve the existing problems since the building is already completed. We should be able to use it.
ReplyDeleteDAP ini banyak pla komplen. Harap2 lepas komplen ni dapat tempat yang sesuai untuk Mini Putrajaya. Atau mungkin lebih banyak parking lot.
ReplyDeleteThe complained made by people not by the DAP alone. This is for our own good, for the people. So further action please!
ReplyDeleteNew parking lot will be there soon... hopefully...
ReplyDeleteharap pekara ini akan dapat diatasi pada masa akan datang.
ReplyDeletekalau saya ada urusan di sana, saya parking di dalam tidak ada apa2 masalah pun.. anyway, the government still need to do something as it will bring negative perception toward government administration.
ReplyDeletemasalah itu akan diselesaikan jg nnti.
ReplyDeleteMemang mini PJ ini menghadapi masalah tempat meletak kenderaan. Harap masalah ini akan ditangani.
