DON’T MAKE TAIPAN A TYPHOON

PROPOSED…..Edward showing the roundabout and the proposed entrance to Taipan shops.

INANAM road users, especially those who need to gain entrance to the new Taipan shops from the Jalan Kionsom side requested the Sabah DAP Vice Chairman, Edward Ewol Mujie to request and arrange for a modification to the arrangement of the road leading to the Taipan shops, especially to allow traffic to enter from the roundabout in front of the Basel Church.

At the moment, there is only one road entrance from the Jalan Tuaran side and one other small entrance by the shops next to Jalan Kionsom.

Edward said according to the town planning drawing there is an entrance allowed and catered to get in from the roundabout. He is not sure why the entrance was not built according to the town planner’s drawing.

He will checked with JKR, DBKK and the relevant authorities to verify on the possibility to build the entrance from the roundabout in front of the Basel Church to Taipan shops. He said it will be of advantage if there is another entrance entering into Taipan shops.

The situation of the traffic flow in and out of Taipan is confusing enough and an additional inlet linking to the roundabout is necessary, and this will help to solve the jam in the area. Edward wishes the authorities will look into this and get the road and traffic flow sorted out.

The other complaint is on the car parking problems which affected every road user here. The Taipan shops are opening up fast and more and more people frequent the area. The car parks here are definitely not enough especially there are a few banks here. DBKK should immediately look into the matters and get this solved for the sake of the people here.
