KUALA LUMPUR : Foreign
Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman led the Malaysian delegation to the 16th
Conference of Heads of State/Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (16th NAM
Summit) in Tehran, Iran, beginning yesterday and ends on Aug 31.
A statement from the
ministry said he was accompanied by senior ministry officials.
The NAM Summit is held once
every three years to review the implementation of decisions made at the last
Summit, and addresses current global issues and challenges.
It will be preceded by the
Preparatory Senior Officials Meeting on Aug 26 and 27.
These meetings, among
others, will consider the draft Final Document of the 16th NAM Summit and make
preparation for the summit. (Bernama)
