GENDER-bending Australian
supermodel Andrej Pejic looks set to become the fashion world's latest reality
TV star, with a spokesperson for his modelling agency confirming that he's
"in the early stages" of taping a show.
The androgynous male model
sparked rumours of TV stardom last year when he tweeted, "Should I do a
reality TV show? I mean what would I have to say." Then recently, rumours
began circulating that the star was set to appear in his own reality show, with
frockwriter.com first dishing the news.
These reports have now been
confirmed, with a rep for DNA Models, Andrej's agency in New York, telling
fashionista.com of the project. "It's still in the early stages, but yes,
there is a show being developed around Andrej," explained the
spokesperson.
Sources close to Andrej told
Australian journalist Patty Huntington that the programme would follow Andrej
as he embarks on various job assignments. It is also reported that Andrej's
mother Jadranka Savic will star on the new show, although more details are
scarce at the moment.
Andrej is one of the fashion
industry's most in-demand names, modelling both men's and women's attire for
the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Marc Jacobs. He also generated a huge buzz
online when he fronted a campaign for Dutch retailer Hema's "Mega Push-Up
Bra" last December. (Relaxnews)
